SYNCELL today announced the plan to establish its corporate headquarters in the Biotechnology Development Center(BDC) at the National Biotechnology Research Park (NBRP) in Nangang, Taipei effective June 1, 2021, expanding upon its presence in the nearby BioTReC (Biomedical Translational Research Center).
The announcement comes as a result of significant growth in the past 18 months since the company spun off from Dr. Jung-Chi Liao’s lab at Academia Sinica. The new space provides ample space for 30+ team members to continue conducting R&D work as well as offering custom spatial proteomics services to global customers.

It’s a big step for the company to open a fully-equipped laboratory and office in the Biotechnology Development Center and be surrounded by other innovative startups,” said SYNCELL VP of Administration, Ms. Ya-Lan Hsieh. ” The vibrant startup environment at BDC will no doubt stimulate our team’s entrepreneurial spirit and support our future recruitment effort.”

The new facility will be located on the 5th Floor of the Biotechnology Development Center Building C. and is expected to be operational before the end of the year.

To stimulate and promote valuable and effective biotechnology research, Academia Sinica, in concordance with governmental development policy, opened the National Biotechnology Research Park (NBRP) in Nangang, Taipei in October 2018. NBRP provides the first ecosystem platform for biomedical research on a national level.
